BUILDING A PEOPLE-FIRST LAW FIRM THE STORY BEHIND FINDERSON LAW

Roger's legal career began in Fort Wayne after graduating from Indiana University School of Law and being sworn into practice in October 1993. Early in his career, he worked with a general practice law firm where he gained experience in workers' compensation, personal injury, Social Security Disability, bankruptcy, corporate law, and collections.

In 1996, Roger joined a large personal injury law firm where he spent more than seventeen years representing injured individuals and families throughout Indiana. During that time, he handled workers' compensation, personal injury, and disability claims while helping clients navigate some of the most challenging periods of their lives. He also successfully litigated and argued significant appellate cases that helped shape Indiana law.

In April 2014, Roger made the decision to establish Finderson Law. His goal was not to build the largest law firm or the most recognizable advertising brand. Instead, he wanted to create a firm where relationships mattered, questions were answered, and clients received the personal attention they deserved.

Today, Roger remains committed to earning his clients' trust through service, communication, and results. He believes that every client deserves answers, guidance, and an attorney who is genuinely invested in helping them move forward.

Roger's legal career has been defined by a commitment to client advocacy, professional leadership, and community service. From helping shape Indiana law through notable appellate cases to serving in leadership roles within national legal organizations, his work reflects a lifelong dedication to protecting the rights of others and making a positive impact both inside and outside the courtroom.

BEYOND THE OFFICE FAMILY, COMMUNITY, AND LIFELONG RELATIONSHIPS

For Roger, success has always been measured by relationships. He and his wife, Terra, have been married since 1995 and are proud parents of Delaney, Zaira, and D'Artagnan. Family remains one of the most important parts of his life, and many of his favorite memories have been made traveling, spending time together, and supporting one another through life's milestones.

Roger and Terra are self-described food enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs who have spent decades visiting St. Augustine, Florida. Their appreciation for the area eventually led them to establish a second home there, allowing them to enjoy the Florida coast while maintaining strong ties to Fort Wayne and the clients and community they continue to serve.

Outside of the practice of law, Roger enjoys golfing, following University of Michigan football, and staying connected to technology and innovation. A former collegiate athlete at Brandeis University, he still appreciates competition, teamwork, and discipline and carries those values into his professional life today.

Roger is also passionate about giving back to his community through organizations such as Junior Achievement and professional organizations like the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), where he served as President from 2024 to 2025 and continues to advocate for injured workers and their families nationwide.

Whether serving clients, mentoring younger attorneys, supporting charitable causes, or spending time with family, Roger believes that strong relationships and a commitment to helping others are the foundation of a meaningful life and career.
